Privacy Policy

This policy covers Daikoku NYC Corp.’s website. Our Donor Privacy Policy covers contributions specifically; this one covers everything else you can do here.

What we collect, and when

We only collect what a form asks for. We do not build profiles of visitors who never submit anything.

• —Car registry: your name, email, phone, Instagram handle if you give one, your car’s details and photo, what you are willing to make the car available for, and any notes you add.
• —Event registration: your name, email, phone, party size, vehicle details and photos where applicable, and any notes.
• —Volunteering and partnerships: your contact details, areas of interest, experience, and what you write to us.
• —Contact form: your name, email, and message.
• —Newsletter: your email address.
• —Donations and membership: handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and the details needed to acknowledge and receipt your gift; we never see or store your full card number.

What we do with it

• —Run the thing you signed up for — reviewing a car, approving an entry, replying to a message.
• —Contact you about that submission, and about future events if you opted in.
• —Connect owners with photoshoot, film, and commercial opportunities, only for cars whose owners said yes to that.
• —Meet our legal and reporting obligations as a nonprofit.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other organisations for their own marketing.

What is public

The car registry shows the make, model, year, colour and photo of approved cars. Owner names, emails and phone numbers are never shown publicly. If someone wants to reach an owner, they contact us and we pass the message along.

Automated screening

Submissions are checked automatically for signs of automated abuse — hidden form fields, submission timing, and patterns in the content. Flagged submissions are held for human review rather than deleted. If a genuine submission is caught by this, contact us and we will release it.

Text messages

We only text people who opted in. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or contact us and we will remove you.

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy-preserving analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It does not use cookies to track you across other websites, does not collect personal information, and does not build a profile of you.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep submissions for as long as we need them to run our programs and meet our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. Some records we are required to retain.

Children under 13

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
